Recruitment: choose one of three companions

Use Bond Crystal nodes to compare three offers and improve a team of up to six.

Recruitment in the current app is a choice among three offers at a Bond Crystal node. You select a companion to join the team, or pass on the encounter. There is no low-health capture probability to calculate in this recruitment flow.

Compare offers against your actual team

Open the creature details and compare element, stats, level, and move level. All three offers at a given node share a level, making their different roles easier to judge.

Prefer a recruit that fills a gap: a useful counter, better health for the next sequence, or a different stat profile. The rarest-looking offer is not automatically the most useful one. A healthy Nature or Wind companion can also provide Rootguard or Tailwind to its allies.

Make room when the roster is full

A team holds up to six. With an open slot, the recruit joins the roster; with a full team, choose an existing member to replace.

Its held item returns to your bag. Re-equip items and arrange the new lineup after accepting the offer. Recruitment also records the new discovery in your Field Guide.

Understand later offers

Offers come from the current region, including the newly illustrated standalone companions. Family forms follow their level gates: first forms below 15, second forms from 15, and final forms from 30. Standalones remain in their single form.

Recruits arrive with move level II from trial four and move level III from trial seven. Later recruitment can therefore provide a trained replacement as well as another elemental option.
