The element chart used by the current game

Learn the ten-element strength loop, neutral Mythical matchups, and how the app uses primary types.

An elemental advantage doubles damage; a disadvantage halves it. Neutral matchups use the normal multiplier. Check the in-game chart before committing to a Guardian fight.

Follow the strength loop

Earth → Lightning → Wind → Poison → Nature → Water → Fire → Metal → Ice → Flower → Earth. Each element is strong against the next one in this loop and weak against the one before it.

For example, Water is strong against Fire, Fire is strong against Metal, and Metal is strong against Ice. Unrelated pairings are neutral. Mythical is neutral against every element, and every element is neutral against Mythical.

Use the primary element in battle

The catalog can list both primary and secondary types. The current Flutter game uses the primary element for combat effectiveness and the creature’s fixed move.

Do not multiply two defensive types together or plan around a four-times bonus based on a Bestiary card. That was a rule in the older website game and does not describe the app now embedded here.

Combine effectiveness with health and order

A counter with almost no health may still fail before it can help. Compare Speed, move strength, and remaining health alongside the type chart.

Arrange your team to suit the Guardian’s displayed lineup. A varied roster gives you more useful ways to order the battle than six creatures with the same weakness.

Quick answers

No. Mythical matchups are neutral in both directions.

Do secondary types stack damage multipliers?

Not in the current embedded app. Combat uses the creature’s primary element.
